Eric Howland joined UMC, as National Sales Manager, and headed the expansion of our sales rep network to include Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Northern & Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, Mexico and Canada.

UMC acquired additional Advanced Technology processing equipment, to include, two Pluritec auto loading CNC drilling machines, a Lohr Herman CNC jump scoring machine, an X-ray registration/ verification system, a thin core/fine line copper etching system, an advanced fine line laser photo plotter, and an RoHS compliant immersion silver/gold plating line.

Ken Stowers, former owner of Velie Circuits Inc, of Costa Mesa California, joined UMC as Vice President of Marketing. Rob Newton and Shaun Salas, formerly of Velie Circuits Inc, of Costa Mesa California, joined UMC as direct sales people.
